MASSAGE THERAPY POLICIES / AGREEMENT

It is our intention to provide professional and therapeutic massage to help you reach your health and wellness goals. We understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. In consideration of your time and our massage therapist, we have adopted the following policies for first-time and regular massage clients of MassageFX:

ARRIVAL POLICY Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time (10 minutes prior for first-time clients). This provides time to determine the best session plan for you at each visit, while allowing for an unhurried experience.

LATE ARRIVAL POLICY If you are late, you will have the time remaining of your scheduled appointment for your massage but, extension is not possible. Please understand, your appointment is locked into a time slot and we will not interrupt our following clients sessions. You will be charged the full price of your scheduled session. CANCELLATION POLICY Please understand our therapists only get paid when they deliver a service. Hence, we understand genuine emergencies do occur therefore:

We appreciate 12 hours’ notice for any changes to your scheduled appointment. No refunds will be offered for cancellations without 12 hours’ notice. If you need to cancel/reschedule, log into your customer account in the booking system to manage your schedule. If you do not allow 12 hours notice, you prepayment will be kept as compensation. It is important that our massage therapist(s) be compensated for the reserved time slots. You will be sent a text and email reminder notification 72 hours before your appointment. 

BOOKING ONLINE PAYMENT SCHEDULE Our booking system takes full payment at the time of booking to secure your appointment. We do not accept cash payments or offer POS facilities on the premises. If you are VIP member paying manually, prepayment is still required, 48 hours prior to your appointment day. For example, if your appointment is booked on a Sunday, payment must be received and cleared into our account by Friday, between normal business hours of 9am-5pm. MassageFX banks with Westpac. If you bank with another institution, please allocate the time difference for processing up to 72 hours.

NO SHOW POLICY Clients who fail to show for a scheduled appointment will be charged the full cost of the scheduled session. If a client fails to provide adequate notice multiple times (2 or more), he/she will not be scheduled for future services. It is important that our massage therapist(s) be compensated for reserved time slots.

TRANSFER OF APPOINTMENT TO ANOTHER: Your appointment is reserved for you and only you, and allocated to the appointed time slot. Sending another person in your place, is not permitted without prior consultation with MassageFX. If you fail to contact MassageFX, the person will be declined and you will be charged as a no-show. 

OTHER MASSAGE POLICIES Children, toddlers, babies are not permitted in the clinic. You must attend your appointment alone.

INFORMED CONSENT The Treatment plan will be discussed with you prior to your scheduled session. During your first visit with us you will receive a copy of the massage therapy policies and will be asked to sign the consent statement that you have read, understand and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year also will be asked to fill out this form again.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE MassageFX therapists are licensed professionals and held to the highest standards. Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND CONVERSATION We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the massage.
